I value honor, loyalty, honesty, and compassion above all other traits in myself and look for the same in the people around me. I don't expect perfection, I am far from it, but I always strive in that direction. I like to laugh and have people laugh around me. I also like to be able to engage in serious stimulating discussions. I may come across as flakey sometimes, but I am actually rather intelligent. On my own I lean toward more sedentary pursuits, like movies and reading, but that is because most of the more active enterprises I would enjoy doing are more fun with someone to share them with.

What kind of person are you interested in meeting?
This is not where I want to start the cafeteria style sort of list I find most online dating people start. I find a lot of people use this to post their cafeteria or buffet-like order... for example, "I'll take some blonde and blue eyes and tan and short and large boobs and funny and smart, but not smarter than me, and kind and sweet and christian, and lady-like, but slutty and dirty when it comes to sex and matches me with every single food like and movie like and music like and likes sports and doesn't disagree with me in any way." And women do the exact same thing! It just isn't realistic.

So I am going to list a couple of broad characteristics I find appealing in a man. And if you feel you fit and if you agree with anything else in my profile, then please feel free to contact me.

What I find attractive in a man, and some of this I've mentioned before, but I feel bears repeating, (and if you know which bear/bare is the proper bear/bare I should use there, please share, I always wonder and switch back and forth between the two figuring I'll be right at least half the time), is intelligence, honor, honesty, integrity, kindness, compassionate, affectionate, conviction, self-confidence.

What sort of relationship would you like at this point in your life.
I would like to find someone who is ready to find someone to settle down with. One who is looking to find a lifetime friend and lover and is not afraid to fall in love.

I would like someone who is not looking for a perfect person, but the person who is perfect for them.

I dislike people who say "no baggage" in their profiles. To me this tells me this person is immature and unrealistic. Anyone who has lived life has baggage. The trick is to find the person whose baggage matches your own set. At this stage in life we should all know everyone we meet has their own scars and bruises. I want someone who carries theirs proudly and has learned from them and lets them heal, not someone who continues to whine and constantly picks at the scab to keep the wound open and weeping. And if the wound is still raw, is at least open enough to allow others to help in its healing.
